Hi, it's Millsie again,
yeah, so I know it's summer but to be a bit original, I'm still on holiday- skiing, in Italy! So by this point you might be thinking "what? This girl is crazy you can't ski in summer!" But you can cos I am and it is truly AMAZING! The sun is great but unfortunately we are going to come back home soon because school is starting soon! BUM! Anyway, this post is gonna be a very very very very very VERY long one, talking about many different things because....... It's......... My ........... First............EVER....... Weekly..........
WEDNESDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay, as it is Wednesday, I was thinking how weird it's spelt, I mean was Nes married on a WedNesDay (get it? Nes was wed!) Anyway. Let's go off the subject of skiing back to summer. My birthday is in Summer so I thought I'd help those of you who are summer babies like me with a few summer PARTY IDEAS! I love a good party so every year I grab a good excuse to have one- Halloween... Even a. Jubilee party for the Queens jubilee a few years ago! But even with all these great spooky sleepovers, Party Picnics and Jubilee Jubilations, Birthdays are always the best and, to me, the most special and INPORTANT, so here are awesome summer party ideas that I have done in the past or plan to do. My birthday this year is just after the end of school so if yours is at about the same time- do it right after cos otherwise everybody is on holiday and sadly, the end of year this year, is the end of primary school so I hope this birthday will be extra special, doubling as a special goodbye to all my closest friends. Here are the ideas:
1) Pamper party- it's a classic!
2) Sleepover- this works as an after section to a more Adventourous party- like Go Ape or Wild Wood. Or anything else, I ALWAYS have a sleepover after my birthday! Remember- don't forget the sweeties!
3) Roller Disco- Roller Disco- it explains itself.
4) Pool Party- if you don't have your own pool, book a public pool in your area and most will probably do a fun splash party with pool games and more... (Andrea did this for her party and it was A. M. A. Z. I. N. G !)
5) Bowling.... Then......... A SLEEPOVER!!!!!!
6) Chill- for the less extravagant, get a few friends over and it'll just be like one massive play date- play games and LET THEM EAT CAKE! (Historical quote from the French Revolution) 🇫🇷
7) Hollywood- buy a red carpet very cheap online, get some plastic oscars and let the CAMERAS ROLL! Don't stop there have a fancy night- living like the The Oresident or the Queen oooh
8) Ice Skating- then a SLEEPOVER
9) Cinema- and dinner with friends in a chilled sort of place like Pizza Express and you can take your own cake!
10) Day of Competetiveness- I'm not sure that's a word but Spell Check didn't correct it so I guess it's okay, anyway, games, races, sports, cake eating contests (who can eat the most mini Choco rolls in a minute- I was almost sick after winning one of those!) ON YOUR MARKS! GET SET! GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
So hope you enjoyed... But it's not over! As I love love love love love love love love love love love love (love) LOVE ??love?? love love love love love PARTIES‼?‼?‼?‼?‼?‼?‼?‼?‼?‼?‼?‼?‼?‼?‼?‼?‼?‼?
I'm gonna continue this festive special with chilled out snack and food ideas-
1) Two Words: HOT. DOGS.
2) Crispy, Crisptastic CRISPS! Have many choices- a big selection bag is great for everybody.
3) CAKE! Duh!
4) Icecream, jelly, candy- anything that makes you HYPER!
5) If you have a Choco fountain or a candy floss maker (I have both) II have one tip: USE. THEM.
6) sweets (even more.)
Now, for parties, I find it best to book, buy and invite in advance in case something goes wrong. So, to really get into the festive spirit, DECORATIONS-
use simple colored paper cut into strips to make fun rainbow paper chains.
if your buying your decorations, use a colour scheme- my Favourite is blue-Zebra print!
Go COLOURCRAZY! Colourcolourcrazycolourilovecolourcolourcrazymostlycrazyasyoucanseefrommewritingthisallasoneword!
And that's it- OR SO YOU THOUGHT! While planning every party there is always that wondering moment- who to invite? "Who to invite?" ""WHO TO INVITE?" """WHOTOINVITE?""" """"WHOTOINVITE?!?!?""""
So, let me solve that for you- find a limit of how MANY to invite and let's go from there- think of two best best best best friends for life (I always thinks of Andrea and this other Best Best best. BEZZIE call Aurora! By the way, Andrea and I are going to Oxford together!) then slowly think of some Best friends (not exactly for life) and work from there until you get to your friends (just nice normal friendly friends!) and then you should be done by the time you get to you enemies ( do not invite these)! Now, you've got your party books, your people ready to invite- we need to create invitations- use the same colour scheme as for your decorations (if there isn't one just go for rainbow) and remember to include ALL crucial details! Another good tip is not to include the persons name otherwise you'll have to write out their name on every one, so just write something like "YOU'RE INVITED!"
Now, the final (I promise it's the last thing) is the perfect outfit) base this on your party theme (colour scheme or for example, you can't wear a red carpet dress to a Go Ape party!) if you don't want to plan this in advance, just go with the flow (or a little crazy!) and match yours to a fun version of what everyone else is wearing (be yourself, be original, be YOU!)
Anyway, hope you enjoyed,
Xxx Millsie
PS- listen to "Listen to the Man" by George Ezra! Greatest song EVER!
